During the design and development phase of the Programme, the A9 Dualling was progressed as 11 individual projects. These are grouped as three geographical sections: North, Central and South.

A lot of work is undertaken ahead of the delivery phase for each project including developing the preferred route, making orders and assessing the impacts of the project on the environment.
